There’s plenty of outrage so we aren’t going to do that. Instead, we’re creating a place with new tips, tools, insights, sources, and stories that can help us understand how to win this November.

The DNC is hiding its own 2024 autopsy — the chair got torched for it on Pod Save America and he deserved it. It’s exactly why we can’t rely on the party.
Jon Favreau spent more than 10 minutes pressing DNC Chair Ken Martin on why a 200-page post-election report — paid for with donor money — is being kept from the public. Martin’s answer? Releasing it would be “navel-gazing.” The problem: when Martin ran for DNC chair, he specifically criticized the party for refusing to release the 2016 autopsy after Hillary Clinton’s loss — and promised this one would be different. He is now doing exactly what he condemned. Watch the interview and decide for yourself whether this is a party ready to win in November. It’s also the clearest sign yet of why we can’t wait for the party to fix itself. We have to fix it. (Donate today to our Flip 5 to Take the House Campaign).

It’s happening in broad daylight – following the Supreme Court gutting of the Voting Rights Act, Louisiana Republicans are trying to cancel their primary so it can redraw its maps — and Trump is cheering them on.
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry just suspended his state’s May 16 House primaries — an election already underway — after a Supreme Court ruling struck down the current district map as an “unconstitutional racial gerrymander.” The Republican-controlled LA legislature is expected to use the pause to redraw maps that eliminate Democratic seats and black voter representation before November. Trump posted on Truth Social praising Landry for “moving so quickly.” This isn’t just Louisiana: Florida is pursuing the same strategy with the Supreme Court’s blessing. This is the real story of how Republicans plan to hold the House — not by earning votes, but by drawing the maps. It’s why we can’t just assume a blue wave is enough. Every dollar you direct to Flip the States high-impact races matters more than ever.

The DOJ just indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center on ridiculous charges. Trump thinks threatening us will stop us; it won’t.
Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel announced 11 criminal counts against the SPLC — a storied civil rights organization — for paying informants to infiltrate hate groups. The problem, as former DOJ Fraud Section Chief Andrew Weissmann lays out in withering detail in his newsletter Just Security: the indictment doesn’t meet basic legal standards, and the SPLC was doing exactly what a civil rights organization should — gather intelligence on white supremacist groups and report it directly to the FBI. These charges won’t stop the SPLC and it won’t stop us from fighting back.

Rep. David Scott died in office at 80. His legacy was important, but it is time for the next generation of Democratic leaders.
The Georgia Democrat served 12 terms and passed away on April 22 — one day after casting his final House vote. While his service was exceptional, colleagues had raised concerns about his cognitive health for years. His death is a painful but necessary reminder: Democratic lawmakers are staying in office past the point of effective service, and it is costing us. The next generation of leaders is waiting. We honor Scott’s legacy — but we also must be honest that his Georgia seat is a safe Dem seat, which means your dollars need to go elsewhere and its time for us to remake the party.
