Voters have already rendered a verdict on this election, and it isn’t close: by a two-to-one margin, they say their vote is against Trump, not for anyone else.
A new Pew Research Center survey has Democrats up six points on the generic ballot and shows Democratic voters are nearly twice as engaged as Republicans — 39% say they’ve thought a lot about the election, compared with 22% of the GOP. But the same poll finds voters split almost evenly on which party they trust more on the economy, and Congress’s favorability is sitting at a near-record-low 25%, which means anti-Trump energy alone won’t convert into seats without candidates and a message people can actually vote for, not just against. That’s the exact gap between rage and results FTS exists to close.
